“KISS,” a work for three dancers, evolved alongside Prince’s posthumously released album Piano & A Microphone 1983. Choreographed by Kasia Wolińska and premiered during the 2022 SENSE series at Radialsystem, the piece celebrates dance as a powerful, joyous expression of life. Drawing inspiration from Prince’s seamless navigation of diverse aesthetics and the rich musical language of the album, the choreography builds a dynamic narrative foundation. It masterfully explores a range of dance techniques, qualities, and legacies, reviving its emotional resonance and musicality. The result is a vibrant, shared experience of movement and connection, brimming with energy and rhythm.
